Sunday Funday some people say. Usually either begrudgingly or sarcastically. But when you're staying at The Salt House, Sunday just might be your favorite Funday of the week.
8:30 A.M.
Pour yourself a copy of coffee and head out to the pool deck to relax in the early morning sun and listen to the waves lap on shore below on Love Beach.
10 A.M
Grab a beach towel and head to the beach for a quick swim and soak up some sunshine. Perhaps take the Stand Up Paddle Board out for a little jaunt around the cove to get in some exercise.
11:30 A.M
Get your group ready for a day out at Chat 'N Chill on Stocking Island. Pack the beach towels, sunscreen, and your charm, you're heading to one of the best beach bars in all of the Caribbean. It's about a 20 minute drive to George Town and the Government Dock to catch the water Taxi to Stocking Island.
12 P.M. (or so)
Hop on Elvis' Water Taxi for the quick 5-10 minute ride across Elizabeth Harbour where you'll be let off at Chat 'N Chill's beach. The ride is about as scenic as you can get. Watch for dolphins swimming by and make friends with the other passengers over a cold Kalik that you can buy with your round trip fare.
12:10 (or so) through the afternoon
Arrive at Chat 'N Chil. Pick out a spot to put down your beach towels, then head into the open air bar for a Rum Punch, and ice cold Kalik, or your favorite libation. KB, Kwanza, Kendra and the team will be happy to offer a suggestion...and if they offer you a floater, take it. It's an extra shot of liquor on top of your drink...hey, you're on vacation. Sunday's at Chat 'N Chill are famous for their pig roast lunch and the lively crowd it draws. If a heaping plate pulled pork, mac & cheese, peas & rice, and cole slaw aren't your thing and prefer seafood, they have freshly made conch salad prepared right in front of you on the beach. Relax and enjoy the scenery, the company, and the ocean...you're in for a great time. Don't miss out on petting the stingrays that hang out where the discarded conch shells are. They are friendly and will swim right up to you.
5 P.M.
Catch Elvis' Water Taxi back to George Town and head back to The Salt House (designated driver is a must).
5:45 P.M.
Grab a sundowner cocktail and plop yourself on one of the comfy lounge chairs on the sunset deck to watch the sunset and share stories with family and friends about how Sunday Funday is the best day of the week.
